Why we do what we do
Our Vision
We want to see every young child know that they are loved, to turn to the love of Jesus and to have loads of fun amidst the confusing hopelessness of this world.
As we look around at our world today, even in Greenville, young children lose hope, and lack structure. They have an improper introduction to Jesus and therefore are not prepared for the hopelessness they see in their homes and schools. Even young souls need hope and we provide fun environments to allow children to thrive and see the true hope of Jesus Christ. This is why we exist.
Our Core Values
Kingdom
- We believe that in everything we do, we should be building God’s Kingdom, not our own.
Every Soul Ministry
- We believe that every single person that comes in contact with our ministry matters to us: including our champions, our parents, and our children.
Abundance
- We believe in our God of abundance as we wait for Him to provide in His timing and rest in His sovereign plan.
Fun
- We believe in building fun environments that celebrate the life of each child.

How we got here
It started with helping kids
In 2010, Buddy Hall and his wife Amanda founded His Turn Ministries INC. It was primarily a youth-focused ministry in Spartanburg, SC.
Over time they created a relationship with Greenville's Fuller Normal Industrial Institute, which mainly serves elementary school students and toddlers. Because of this relationship, our focus changed from youth to younger children. In 2017, His Turn Soccer had a short, 5-week season at Fuller Normal.
After three years of stagnant growth, Bailey King was hired as Executive Director in January of 2021. Throughout 2021, His Turn had 2 nine-week seasons at Fuller Normal and created a partnership with Reconcile Community Church located in Welcome,SC,to provide various soccer programs. Even though we look different than we did in 2010, we still desire to turn the youngest generation back to hope and joy in a world where hope seems so far away.

What we do
Fuller Normal Institute
Fuller Normal is a private school located in Dunean, SC, where our team provides free soccer sessions to 60 or more disadvantaged children each season. Our season runs for 11-13 weeks each school semester, and our children learn basic truths of the gospel and foundational soccer skills every week that they participate. We love our relationships with the children, parents, and teachers at Fuller Normal.
After School Program
We run our after-school program every Wednesday and Friday at Reconcile Community Church located in Welcome, SC. Children from the community of Welcome participate in this program. Each week includes games, truths of the gospel, basic soccer skills and a fun scrimmage at the end!
Summer Camp
Our summer program runs for a few weeks out of Reconcile Community Church’s facilities. Our focus here is children ages 3-11 in the Welcome community. A day of summer camp runs from 9:00-2:00 and consists of fun games, stories in the Bible, reading, crafts, lunch, and basic soccer skills.
On-Site Public School
This spring, we start out partnership with Welcome Elementary School. We will provide a free after-school program on-site at their school. This program will run for one hour after the school day and will include: snacks, Bible lesson, character development, soccer skills and a scrimmage. We are excited for this new partnership that starts on March 30, 2023!
